Backstory:

Eridid was one whose childhood was one of the more normal sort. He was found by the inhabitants of Ankrat one evening in the arms of an elven woman, who stumbled in from the northern path mortally wounded. By the time the healers were awoken and brought to see her over, she had already stopped breathing. Left with an infant that obviously had nowhere else to go, the inhabitants of Ankrat took it upon themselves (not like they had much other choice) to take in this orphan and raise him as their own. They gave him the name Eridid, and gave him to the arms of one of the women, Tarna of the village.

As he grew up, Eridid was of course looked at oddly for more then one reason that was not just the pointy ears and amber skin. He had an almost unerring affinity for nature, and other things of that sort. Playing hide and go hunt, he'd usually always find the other kiddies who he was hunting, and he would rarely be found when he was the quarry. For most of the village, it just further re-enforced what they already knew; elves are weird. What further pushed that was his rather overwhelming sense of freedom, that often took him out of the protection of the village during the day. The few who knew about his random excursions thought he was insane, but he always reassured them (rather poorly more often then not, he never had a way with words).

He grew and grew, and when he started hitting early adulthood (which in reality was when he was about thirteen) Tarna started pressing him into learning a vocation in order to help the village. Eridid soon enough went about trying to learn any and all jobs that he could. After job-hunting for awhile, he ended up with a small apprenticeship with the crafter of the Ankrat, who made the tools for the people. He was prodigiously excellent with the bow, more then he realized until about a week after Eridid took up the apprenticeship the crafter came out to see how the testing of the bows was doing. After it was realized his tasks could be better used elsewhere, he was quickly shifted over to hunter teachers. And here we are today.

Family:

Originally, and obviously born of two elves, one of which is confirmed deceased and the other has never been seen or found. Eridid's adoptive mother is Tarna, who is one of the extremely few unpaired women of the village (her original partner was killed) who was happy with taking in a rather odd baby.
